This book must have blown everyone's mind when it came out. Great recipes using only fresh ingredients and only a few ingredients. The recipes are clean and satisfying. Very well written. Keep in mind the date it came out....you've probably seen or cooked many of these recipes already....not knowing it was Nora who was responsible for introducing this type flavorful simplicity that awakened our palates. The more I reviewed it, the more I kept envisioning her passion of "farm to table" and "buy local, fresh and organic" if possible. Good book to have if you are a cookbook collector, but recipes have been around for a while....so there's not much new if you are looking to add to your cooking repertoire.

Substantial coffee table book and great gift!

I purchased this book for a family member named Nora, but found it is a large hardback that could stand on its own as a great coffee table book. The food sure looks tasty, though I didn't try any recipes out, as it was a gift....I can only hope I get invited to dinner!
