Great reading comprehension program at home !

If you want to improve your child's reading comprehension skills, use "Your Reading Power" based on SRA Reading Lab. which is used in many classrooms. My two children have been doing about three lessons a week. In fall, in their classrooms, they will use SRA Reading Lab, so this is a good review of upcoming school year.

SRA is a great language development tool.

I loved SRA as a kid and still love them now. I remember back in elementary school our classrooms would have SRA. We pick out a card and begin to read short stories then answer a few short questions at the end. You would move up to the next color set of cards until you got to the end. These are great for my grandson who is two almost three but can comprehend the stories. Even though he can't physically take the quiz after each card he can verbally answer them. This ia a great language development, communication/vocabulary builder for my grandson.

Bought this for my daughter to use in her classroom for kids that continue to struggle with their reading skills. She has it set up at an audio station in the classroom and is seeing improvements in both reading level and comprehension of the kids who were struggling.

The approach presented in this richly illustrated guide is based on the concepts set out by Dr. Herman Kabat and taught by Margaret Knott. The fully revised fourth edition demonstrates how the principles of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and aspects of motor learning and motor control (from �hands-on� to �hands-off� management) are applied in modern PNF evaluation and treatment.

After the Restoration, propagandists and playwrights on each side of every political conflict would follow suit, altering the rhetoric of sexual violence in response to each new moment of political upheaval: The Restoration of Charles II, the Second and Third Anglo-Dutch Wars, the Popish Plot, the Exclusion Crisis, the Glorious Revolution, and the accession of William and Mary. The study offers an intensive look at British propaganda culture, gathering together a wealth of understudied pamphlet texts, and identifying a series of stock figures that recur throughout the century: The demonic Irishman, sexually violent villain of the 1641 Irish Rebellion tracts; the debauched Cavalier, the secretly Catholic royalist rapist; the poisonous Catholic bride, the malignant consort who encourages the rapes of Protestant women; the cannibal father, the evil patriarch who rapes his daughters-in-laws before ingesting his own sons as a symbol of monarchical overreach; and the ravished monarch, the male rape victim whose sexual violation protests his political disenfranchisement. The study also traces the appearance of these figures on the British stage, examining well-known works by Dryden, Rochester, Behn, Lee, and Shadwell, alongside lesser-known plays by Orrery, Howard, Settle, Crowne, Ravenscroft, Pix, Cibber, and Brady. The Politics of Rape thus offers a new method for understanding of the geo-political implications of theatrical sexual violence.

The Story Continues.....

This book is a sequel to Naked Crow and is well worth the time to read if you liked Naked Crow..This book is set again around the nudist resort where the first book was based. If you like Native American adventures of the nudist kind you will like this one! This author writes vivid accounts of what happens with a nudist girl and her friends at the resort. If this gets you to thinking what this is all about, buy the book and read it! You won't be sorry!

Another Good Summer Read

While I enjoyed the first book in the Naked Crow series, I found I enjoyed this story even more. The author depicts the naturist lifestyle faithfully and I found he was accurate in the details of Native American lore. Believable characters even if they are not fully developed. All in all, an entertaining read while catching rays by the pool.
