Too idillic. Assumes very specific circumstances and expands from pre-set parameters; this is simply not how practical situations unfold. Had to buy for graduate school. Graduate school was selling me Confederate Bonds in the form of a degree. Anything associated with the experience is therefore party to fraud. Mr. Connor, disassociate yourself with university coursework and I will bump you up a few stars.

(p. 169) The center is diagnosis of what is wrong. Action is key. The book covers methods for change thoroughly, practically and in detail. There are many straight-forward charts and diagrams from getting started to final examination. Great edition of a great volume!

This book is by almost all accounts the Bible of the trumpet world. It is comprehensive, and cognitive in its presentation. There are several hundred pages of practice score and a good amount of comments to guide.

This particular edition is a worthwhile purchase as it is spiral comb bound, so it lays open better, it is chock full of updated, editorial comments that explain and clarify some of the things Arban said that don't apply or possibly don't, and it includes a cd with accompaniment for the practices in the book.

Great book, well worth the price!

Excellent music book for advanced high school/College/ semi to Pro players. The binder makes this book much easier to use and flip the pages. If one can play all these exercises without missing a note. That person can play with any musical group anywhere anytime.

If you're buying one, might as well make it this one.

I'm a trumpet player. I've had the same Arban for many years now and it is on its last leg. I wanted to get a new copy since I still play out of it for many of my maintenance routines and thought, why not give this one a try. Basically you get a different binding and an accompaniment CD for the 12 fantaisies and variations. Other than that and the new cover, it's the same.
I wouldn't buy this one unless you need a new one or don't own one.

Great reading comprehension program at home !

If you want to improve your child's reading comprehension skills, use "Your Reading Power" based on SRA Reading Lab. which is used in many classrooms. My two children have been doing about three lessons a week. In fall, in their classrooms, they will use SRA Reading Lab, so this is a good review of upcoming school year.

SRA is a great language development tool.

I loved SRA as a kid and still love them now. I remember back in elementary school our classrooms would have SRA. We pick out a card and begin to read short stories then answer a few short questions at the end. You would move up to the next color set of cards until you got to the end. These are great for my grandson who is two almost three but can comprehend the stories. Even though he can't physically take the quiz after each card he can verbally answer them. This ia a great language development, communication/vocabulary builder for my grandson.

Bought this for my daughter to use in her classroom for kids that continue to struggle with their reading skills. She has it set up at an audio station in the classroom and is seeing improvements in both reading level and comprehension of the kids who were struggling.
