Frances M. McNair, Ph.D., CPA: Dr. McNair holds the KPMG Peat Marwick Professorship of Accounting at Mississippi State University, (MSU) and received her Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Mississippi. Her research has been published in the Journal of Accountancy, Management Accounting, and the Business and Professional Ethics Journal.
Philip R. Olds, Ph.D., CPA: Dr. Olds is Professor of Accounting at Virginia Commonwealth University, and received his Ph.D. from Georgia State University.
Thomas P. Edmonds, Ph.D.: Dr. Edmonds is Professor of Accountancy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, (UAB). He has been actively involved in teaching accounting principles throughout his academic career. He has received several prestigious teaching awards, including the UAB President’s Excellence in Teaching Award and the distinguished Ellen Gregg Ingalls Award for excellence in classroom teaching. His academic experience includes being published in the Journal of Accounting Education, the Accounting Review, and the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance among others. Dr. Edmonds received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Georgia State University.

Chapter 9 was very good (Financial Statement Analysis)

Not a fan of the book. It will get you through Accounting class, but it was too GD much to cover all 16 chapters in a 5 week summer MBA class at NC State. Chapter 9 was very good (Financial Statement Analysis).

Price fixing at its finest.

We all know know by now that these publishing companies try to take your money. 230 for a book that's exactly the same as a previous edition where the only difference are the practice problems/examples in it. Not to mention that this book is FILLED with errors and incorrect questions and answers. I find at least one per chapter. With a book at this price there should be none. If you have to get this book though, PLEASE go and buy the international version if you can find it. It's exactly the same, word for word. The only difference is that it's softcover and insanely cheaper. I paid 40 for it new. Don't let these publishing companies get the best of you by taking your money and convincing you that you need to spend astronomical amount of money to further your education.

Ripoff!

This was a waste of money. I was under the impression that this book came with the much needed connect code. I just had to pay another $125 with connect and access to the ebook is included. I don't want this anymore and truly I want my money back. It's a rip off!
